The Ibanez SRAS7 was developed to answer one simple question: could they create both fretted and fretless sound on one bass? The SRAS7 "Ashula" is the simple solution from the Ibanez Bass Workshop. With its unique hybrid construction, both the fretted and fretless parts are on one neck, enabling solid tone, chord work, smooth playing, sensitive voicing, and so on. The SRAS7 features unique fretboard materials, bridge designs, and pickups for the fretted and fretless halves of the instrument, with the fretted side equipped with SRAS Super J magnetic pickups and the fretless side utilizing an AeroSilk Piezo system.
