It's ready to serve your musical vision, it's versatile enough to handle any style of music and it's the perfect platform for creating your own sound.
- Alder body with gloss finish
- Three Player Series alnico 5 single-coil Stratocaster pickups
- "Modern C"-shaped neck profile
- 9.5"-radius fingerboard
- 2-point tremolo bridge with bent-steel saddles
Respecting Fender's heritage while maintaining their innovative spirit, the power trio of Player Series single-coil pickups are crisp and articulate - authentic Fender tone with a modern edge. The "Modern C"-shaped maple neck's comfortable contours and smooth finish are ideal for almost any playing style. By adding a 22nd medium jumbo fret to the contemporary 9.5"-radius fingerboard Fender has made it easier to express yourself musically. The updated 2-point tremolo design has smoother travel for enhanced playing feel while simultaneously giving you rock-solid tuning stability since there's less friction against the posts. Other features include master volume and tone controls, a 5-way pickup switch, 3-ply pickguard, synthetic bone nut, dual-wing string tree, sealed tuning machines and four-bolt "F"- stamped neck plate that marks this instrument as a real deal Fender.
Player series pickups
When looking to create instruments that can cover a wide range of styles, it's better to have a surplus of signal gain, rather than not enough. Fender’s Player Series Alnico 5 single-coil Stratocaster pickups deliver a hotter output, allowing your tone to dwell in more modern rock tones, while rolling off the volume pulls them back to a more vintage Fender sound.
2-Point tremolo bridge
This Stratocaster features an upgraded modern two-point tremolo with bent steel saddles, offering smoother operation and increased tuning stability, while retaining the tone that set the precedent for rock and roll. As always, Fender includes the detachable tremolo arm, giving you the option to crank it down 'till strings hang loose, or remove it when you just want to strum.
Bridge pickup tone control
Breaking with tradition, Fender added a dedicated tone control for the bridge pickup, giving you more control over your sound in pickup positions one and two. While many versions of the Stratocaster have been restricted to an overly bright bridge tone relative to the other pickups, you can now have a more balanced tone through your pickup selection.
Adding another fret extends the range, while the "Modern C”-shaped neck profile is comfortable for almost any playing style. The Medium Jumbo frets allow for a perfect balance of comfort for quick runs, while allowing your fingers to move smoothly as you you bend strings over its 9.5" fingerboard radius.
More traditional body shape
The Player Stratocaster model’s sleek curves are hand-shaped to original specifications. Not only do these adopted contours offer a classic look, but they make the instrument feel remarkably comfortable to play. Though many have tried to reproduce it, there is nothing like the shape of the iconic Fender Stratocaster.
