Ibanez AAD140 Acoustic Guitar - Open Pore Natural
Ibanez Advanced Acoustic series represents an important step forward in the long and storied tradition of the acoustic guitar. In what amounts to a fully reimagined acoustic experience, these instruments were designed from the ground up to deliver a richer, brighter and louder tone with an unprecedentedly wide dynamic range. With slightly larger than typical proportions, Ibanez decided to name this body shape Grand Dreadnought. This reinvented design achieves a superb, powerful sound, and thanks to the extensive consideration given to the ergonomics, it's extremely comfortable to play.

Grand Dreadnought body
Through a rigorous R&D process spanning several years, Ibanez has reimagined the dreadnought from the ground up, pursuing the height of rich sound, robust low end and rich tone; this brand new body shape is called Grand Dreadnought. It's about 5% larger than a standard dreadnought body and achieves a superb, powerful sound. It's also extremely comfortable to play thanks to the extensive consideration given to its ergonomics.
X-M bracing
Spending a few years on trial and error, Ibanez finally arrived at X-M Bracing to generate the ultimate sound and to really stand out on stage. The carefully designed scalloped X-bracing, the allocation of tone braces and finger braces transmit the string vibration efficiently through the bridge to the body. X-M Bracing creates a clear bottom and crispy treble sound with trimmed warm midrange, all with wide dynamic range and great response.
Low Oval Grip Thermo Aged nyatoh neck with rounded fretboard edges
The Low Oval neck grip is designed for easy chord strumming and the rounded fretboard edges provide superior playability. Thermo Aged, a special drying process, makes the neck light and hard and provides stability and better resonance.
Ovangkol fretboard
The ovangkol fretboard provides greater playing comfort.
Solid okoume top
A solid okoume top offers a full-bodied and warm midrange and a bright tone.
Okoume back and sides
The Okoume back and sides generate a woody, warm tone when the guitar is played softly or finger-picked and provide punchy high-mids with a clear projection when strummed.
Ovangkol scalloped bridge with Ibanez Advantage bridge pins
The lightweight scalloped bridge improves vibration efficiency for better resonance, as well as providing enhanced flexibility in adjusting the action. Easier to take out and put back, Advantage pins really are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage the pin and string stay put.
