Available for both iOS and Android, the Yamaha Smart Pianist app makes it easy to access all of your digital piano's features in a clean and intuitive graphical interface. Once connected, the app will identify your model and only show you what features are built into your piano. This bears repeating: the app is loaded with features, which will only activate if your piano model has them built in.
Piano Room allows you to adjust the lid position, brightness, string resonance, and several other parameters to personalize the sound and settings to your taste. Experience the feeling of playing in a jazz club or concert hall. Adjust the tuning of the piano to match other instruments. Set the touch curve of the keys to match your playing style, and more.
The Voice section allows you to choose which sounds you want to use. You can layer two together, split the keyboard and choose the split point, set octaves, and more. The built-in mixer allows you to adjust the volume level of each voice to personalize the output to your liking.
The metronome feature includes several different time signatures. Instead of a simple click, it will play professional drum tracks and even add in an optional bass sound. You can also activate the intro and ending options for a more realistic performance. Synchro-start minimizes button pushing and starts the pattern when you press the keys.
When using the song section, you'll have complete control over the selected file, including playback, fast forward, rewind, tempo, transpose, and more. You'll be able to view the score, chords, and lyrics, and for CSP models, turn on and off the Stream Lights and Guide Lamp functions.
Access the built-in teaching pieces and work with each hand independently (or together) at your own pace.
It's also super easy to record your performances. The record button is positioned on every screen and will record either as an audio or MIDI file. Most piano models will allow an overdub audio track, and CSP models can handle multi-track MIDI recordings.
Use the Registration tool to instantly save and recall your customized settings. This is a huge time-saver!
