Hammond XK-7 and XK-7D digital tonewheel organs offer a digital replication of Mr. Hammond’s original blueprint using the physical-modeled VEM (Virtual Electro-Mechanical) sound engine. XK-7/7D's comprehensive tonal path passes through 108 digital tonewheels (including the 5 extra "high" wheels and 12 "pedal" wheels), matching transformer, preamp, and to either the digital Leslie or 11-pin Leslie jack to a physical Leslie cabinet, with custom tonewheel parameters allowing for deep editing and customization. In addition, the single-manual XK-7 and dual-manual XK-7D keyboards have been extended to the same dimensions as the original B-3 keys, with the same fulcrum point, and feature six mechanical contacts per key, providing classic Hammond feel and response. For greater versatility, XK-7/7D also include a variety of transistor/combo organ voices, classical and theater pipe organs, preamp modeling, and more.
