Analogue Solutions Ample 3-VCO Desktop Analog Synthesizer
Analogue Solutions Ample is like an Analogue Solutions 'greatest hits,' combining sound elements from Fusebox, patch points from Concussor Eurorack, the patch pin matrix from Vostok, the echo from Dr. Strangelove and the sequencer and CV touch pads from Generator. Ample shares all this and yet still has its own sound!
- 3 × analog voltage-controlled oscillators
- 2 × analog low-frequency oscillators
- 2 × analog envelope generators
- Noise circuit
- Ring modulator
- Sub-oscillator
- Analog 24dB/octave low pass filter
- Analog voltage-controlled amplifier
Analog oscillators
There are three analog VCOs, each with options for saw, square and triangle waves with individual control over pulse width modulation, individual level control and a wealth of modulation choices. The dedicated LFO2 has a triangle wave output, while VCO3 can be used as an LFO and has saw, triangle and square wave modulation signals.
Modulation
Great thought has been put into modulation routing choices, allowing a wide range of sounds to be produced including percussion and 'modular' sounds further extended by patching with the jack sockets and pin matrix.
MIDI
MIDI is intentionally kept simple so you can concentrate on making new sounds and making music, not getting tied up with SysEx programming. You can control filter cutoff using MIDI velocity.
Patchable external CV control sockets
Ample has many input and output audio and CV sockets, allowing it to be effectively rewired to make new sounds. The sockets also enable it to be used with eurorack and other modular systems.
Sequencer
Ample has a vintage-style 16-step sequencer with CV that can be patched to multiple destinations on the pin matrix. The sequencer also features Patternator, first seen on Analogue Solutions Fusebox, which provides a unique approach to gate sequencing.
Touch keys
There are six touch keys that each output a set voltage; use them to play the pitch or as modulation signals – a great tool for inspiration!
Pin matrix
The pin matrix is a fun and expressive way to create both simple and complex patches. Three different patch pins – black, red and blue – all have different resistances and will affect the sounds of your patches in different ways.
Echo
Ample has a built-in lo-fi echo/delay with control over delay time, feedback and level.
