Utilizing D-sub connections, iD48 provides eight fully-balanced inserts, letting you integrate your favorite outboard effects prior to conversion and giving you the cleanest signal path possible – perfect for stem mixing and print-backs. iD48's switchable insert routing enables you to select which source is feeding the ADC path, letting you choose whether to send the Audient mic preamp or DAW outputs to your outboard gear on a per-channel basis and all without having to plug or unplug cables. Plus, for users wanting to record external analog mic preamps, iD48's returns let you bypass the Audient mic preamp, giving you a super-clean and direct conversion path for recording.
Make monitoring simple: advanced monitoring control
iD48 not only excels as a powerful USB-C audio interface, but also provides everything you need to get studio-ready monitoring control. Speaker outputs let you connect, listen to and reference your mixes through Main and Alt speaker outputs. Alternatively, use the extra line outputs to send audio to an external headphone amp for distribution to your artists. Confidently mix on headphones with two engineer-grade, fully independent stereo headphone amps, providing 124dB dynamic range and enough power to support headphones up to 600Ohms.
