The A.PIANO 2G module introduces a fully updated acoustic piano engine designed to enhance realism, responsiveness, and tonal depth. Built with twice the internal memory and increased processing power, this module delivers a more detailed and expressive playing experience, capturing the subtle nuances of acoustic pianos with greater accuracy. It is designed for the Legend ’70s MKII while maintaining full backward compatibility with MKI models.

At the core of the A.PIANO 2G module is Viscount’s HDS (High Definition Sampling) technology, an advanced multi-sampling system that faithfully reproduces the character of grand, baby grand, and upright pianos. A wide selection of timbres is included, ranging from studio and stage grands to more character-driven options like honky-tonk and layered textures combining piano with pads or choir elements. These sounds can be further expanded and refined using the Legend ’70s Editor, allowing access to additional models and deeper customization.

Real-time control is a key part of the experience. Dedicated Dynamic and Brilliance controls allow for immediate adjustment of touch response and tonal brightness, making it easy to shape the sound during performance. The module also integrates seamlessly with onboard editing features, offering extended parameter control through the EDIT PROGRAM menu and external editor app for more detailed sound design.
