Introducing the Kawai CN201…
The improved CN201 has attributes normally found on top-of-the-line instruments. First, the acclaimed Responsive Hammer III action has been upgraded to improve stability and reduce action noise. The Shigeru concert grand piano has been enhanced for the best concert grand sound in a mid-range digital piano. The CN201’s powerful sound system delivers improved tonal clarity and superior sound. The exclusive ‘Low Volume Balance’ feature intelligently adjusts the characteristics of the piano for optimal expression when playing at low volumes. In addition to Bluetooth MIDI, Bluetooth audio has been added for streaming audio through the piano’s sound system. The CN201 joins the roster of other Kawai models by supporting Kawai’s PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer apps which allow sounds, settings, and lesson scores to be accessed from an iOS or Android smart device. Finally, the redesigned control panel has a more intuitive layout which compliments the 2.5” OLED display.

The CN201 offers a highly detailed acoustic piano portrait, employing Kawai’s proprietary Progressive Harmonic Imaging sampling technology. This ensures smooth tonal transitions across the keyboard and throughout the entire dynamic range.
Touch
The new and improved class-leading Responsive Hammer III keyboard action on the CN201 authentically re-creates the exceptional touch of an acoustic grand piano. Its realistic movement and rigid “springless” design provide a smooth, natural piano playing experience. A triple-sensor key detection system enhances responsiveness and accuracy.
Ivory Touch Key Surfaces
The impressive CN201 features our highly regarded Ivory Touch key surfaces. This finely textured material gently absorbs fingertip perspiration and oils to avoid slipping and provide greater playing control. Moisture is absorbed without dirt or grease permeating the key surfaces, allowing them to be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Superior Sound
The new CN201 features a premium speaker and audio system which delivers improved tonal clarity and superior sound.
Song Recorder
The recorder on the CN201 allows up to three songs to be stored in internal memory and played back at the touch of a button. These recordings can serve as convenient self-assessment tools for players of all skill levels.
Bluetooth
In addition to standard USB and MIDI ports, the new CN Series also boast integrated Bluetooth Audio technology, which allows music streaming through the piano’s speaker system. Bluetooth MIDI technology is also incorporated, allowing the digital piano to communicate with supported smart devices wirelessly.

Grand Feel Pedal System
The CN201 features three pedals – soft, sostenuto, and damper (with half-damper capability). The new Grand Feel Pedal System reproduces the individual weighting of each of the three pedals of the Kawai EX concert grand.
Adjustable Music Rest
As with a grand piano, the viewing angle of the CN201 music rest can be adjusted to suit the performer’s playing position or laid flat to provide a level surface for notating scores.

Kawai CN, CA, CS, and CP models are covered by Kawai’s five (5) year limited warranty. This warranty covers digital piano models CN, CA, CS and CP against defects in materials or workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase. Kawai will attempt to perform service at the location of the instrument. However, if this is not reasonably feasible, then You will be responsible for any installation or removal charges and for any initial shipping charges if the instrument(s) must be shipped for warranty service. However, Kawai will pay the return shipping charges to your location within the USA or Canada if the repairs are covered by the warranty.
