The CN301 is the latest addition to Kawai’s CN series of mid-range pianos. Building on the popularity of its predecessor, the CN39, the new CN301 has features normally found on top-of-the-line instruments. The renowned Responsive Hammer III action has been upgraded to reduce action noise and improve stability. The Shigeru concert grand piano has been refined, resulting in the best concert grand sound in a mid-range digital piano. The CN301’s crisp, clean sound system delivers unmatched tonal clarity and superior sound. New diffuser panels mounted to the top-facing speakers project the sound in all directions for a more acoustic piano-like effect. The unique ‘Low Volume Balance’ feature intelligently adjusts the characteristics of the piano for the most favorable expression when playing at low volumes. Both Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth audio are incorporated for a variety of wireless applications. The CN301 joins other Kawai models by supporting Kawai’s PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer apps which allow settings, sounds and lesson scores to be accessed from an iOS or Android smart device. The redesigned control panel has a more intuitive layout which compliments the large OLED display.

Tone
A highly detailed acoustic piano portrait, employing Kawai’s proprietary Progressive Harmonic Imaging sampling technology, is offered in the CN301. This ensures smooth tonal transitions across the keyboard and throughout the entire dynamic range.
Touch
The category-leading Responsive Hammer III keyboard action on the CN301 is now new and improved. The RHIII authentically re-creates the exceptional touch of an acoustic grand piano. With a triple-sensor key detection system that enhances responsiveness and accuracy, the 301’s realistic movement and rigid “springless” design provide a smooth, natural piano playing experience.
Ivory Touch Key Surfaces
Kawai’s highly regarded Ivory Touch key surfaces are an impressive feature of the CN301. Greater piano control is realized with this finely textured material that gently absorbs fingertip perspiration and oils to avoid slipping. Moisture is absorbed without dirt or grease permeating the key surfaces, allowing them to be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Superior Sound
The CN301 features sound diffusers that closely mirror the 360-degree sound projection characteristics of an acoustic piano. Lower-range frequencies emanate through the underside of the instrument, while top-mounted speakers project mid and high frequencies. This, along with a premium speaker and audio system delivers improved tonal clarity and superior sound that is unrivaled in this category.
Song Recorder
With a 10 song (two track) internal recorder, the CN301 offers record and play with the touch of a button. To further support hand independence players can use the two tracks to record left- and right-hand parts separately. Play back the left hand and practice the right-hand part live-or practice the left-hand part live over the right-hand recording.
Bluetooth
In addition to standard MIDI jacks for connecting to other instruments, the CN301 digital piano also boasts integrated Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio technology that allows the instrument to communicate with supported smart devices wirelessly. Once connected to a phone, tablet, or laptop, CN301 digital piano owners can enjoy a wide variety of exciting music-related apps that enhance their learning and playing experience. Kawai CN, CA, CS, and CP models are covered by Kawai’s five (5) year limited warranty. This warranty covers digital piano models CN, CA, CS and CP against defects in materials or workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase. Kawai will attempt to perform service at the location of the instrument. However, if this is not reasonably feasible, then you will be responsible for any installation or removal charges and for any initial shipping charges if the instrument(s) must be shipped for warranty service.
