The 2.0 Octave EMC control module utilizes a modern 32-bit multi-processor architecture, offering a quantum leap in speed and power over EM1 resulting in increased bar precision, accuracy, and extended dynamic range. EM PRO features industry-leading KMI Smart Fabric Technology, a full-color, multi-line screen for navigation, programmable backlit touch-sensitive buttons and control sliders, both USB and 5-pin MIDI connectivity, and an optional Quad-Core ARM 64-bit 2.0GHz processor sound card enabling complete freedom from a computer tether during live performance.

Your Creativity, Expanded
EM PRO can be expanded to a full 5.0 Octave mallet instrument by utilizing individual EMX 1.0 Octave Expansion units. Simply remove the built-in End Cap from the control unit, slide the aluminum beams into place, and re-attach the end cap.

KMI Smart Fabric Technology
EM PRO features Smart Fabric Technology, a Keith McMillen Instruments exclusive. Smart Fabric Technology is truly next level, allowing EM PRO to be highly expressive, light, and dynamic. This non-woven polyester fabric is coated with billions of carbon nanoparticles, giving it conductive properties that change as pressure is applied. Sandwiched between a tough, smooth silicone outer cover and placed on a bed of electronic traces, proprietary algorithms receive precise pressure and location data, giving Smart Fabric Technology night and day performance increases over other dated instrument sensor types.
Optional Sound Card
The optional EM PRO sound card replaces the stock MIDI card by simply sliding into its place. It features a Quad-Core ARM 64-bit 2.0GHz processor for speed and power and enough onboard storage for a complete library of instrument choices. The optional sound card ships with an all-new lush, beautifully recorded Adams Alpha 5 octave Marimba and Alpha Vibraphone sampled by our new sound partner, Soundiron. Soundiron has been creating ultra-premium sample libraries for over a decade, and our new online sample store will allow you to download libraries from every genre imaginable. Transfer sounds directly to your sound card over onboard Bluetooth or wired connection, and you are ready for endless performance opportunities.

Pearl offers a 2-year limited warranty on most hardware and a 1-year limited warranty on MalletStation products. Covering malfunctions from normal use, excluding damage caused by abuse, faulty connections, or improper operation. The warranty is void if the serial number is unreadable, the device is tampered with, repaired by unauthorized persons, or purchased from an unauthorized dealer.
