The EAD50 Electronic Acoustic Drum Microphone System simplifies the traditionally complex process of miking drums by combining microphones, triggers, mixing, and routing into one powerful, easy-to-use solution. Designed for drummers who want fast setup without sacrificing sound quality, the EAD50 delivers a detailed, studio-ready sound while offering the flexibility and expansion needed for modern hybrid and acoustic drum setups.
The included DSU50 stereo sensor mounts directly to most bass drum hoops or to a standard microphone, camera, or lighting stand using 3/8" threading. It captures a full, natural stereo image of your entire kit while also providing a dedicated kick trigger that converts each bass drum strike into precise trigger data. This allows you to layer electronic samples in perfect sync with your acoustic playing. The DSU50 is also available separately and connects via XLR, making it compatible with a wide range of mixers, processors, amplifiers, and PA systems.
The EAD50 module offers extensive routing and expansion options for acoustic, electronic, and hybrid setups. Five XLR/TRS combo inputs allow you to connect additional microphones or DSU50 units, while five splitable trigger inputs support up to ten triggers, plus two dedicated foot trigger inputs. Audio can be routed through eight balanced 1/4" outputs and two balanced XLR master outputs, giving engineers full control over individual drums and effects for clear, professional mixes in studios, rehearsal spaces, churches, and live venues.
LED rotary faders, assignable Kit Modifier knobs, and a streamlined user interface make it easy to adjust gain, reverb, effects, and kit parameters on the fly. The FREE EAD Touch App further simplifies editing, kit management, and navigation, while the Rec’n’Share iOS/Android app lets you record video, edit performances, and share content directly from a mobile device.
Live Set features let you create ordered setlists of scenes, tempos, and audio files, then recall everything instantly with a single button press or footswitch. Pre-counts, customizable click tracks, and backing tracks can all be configured for seamless transitions, helping keep performances tight and consistent.
The EAD50 functions as an 8-in/10-out USB audio interface for multitrack recording and includes MIDI Out for easy DAW integration. USB A to device and USB C to computer connections, Bluetooth connectivity, and SD card playback provide multiple ways to send and receive audio. Creative tools such as looper, sampler, and playback, along with thousands of onboard sounds and effects, expand what’s possible for practice, songwriting, recording, and performance.

The EAD50 provides up to five microphone inputs for external mics. Two are needed to use the included DSU50 sensor unit. So there are 3 extra mic inputs if using the included DSU50.
The included DSU50 unit will attach to your bass drum (providing a kick trigger output for layering samples), and also provide a stereo image of the drum kit including snare, toms, cymbals, etc. Adding a second DSU50 as a stereo overhead microphone or room microphone (connected to MIC/LINE INPUT: 3,4) will provide more depth and dimension to your sound, giving you even more options in processing and recording.
Yes. Dedicated trigger inputs and USB Trigger Link support allow external pads and triggers to be added to hybrid drum setups. Trigger inputs support 2-zone pads and cymbals, or can be split with a breakout cable to add 2 mono triggers per input.
Yes. Multichannel USB audio and flexible internal routing allow individual drums and trigger sources to be assigned to separate tracks or outputs.
